ABP Flocks of the Future

Supporting the Next Generation

We’re helping to shape the next generation of Irish sheep farmers through the Flocks of the Future initiative. This competition supports and inspires young farmers aged 16 to 25 years old, encouraging new talent and ideas to strengthen the long term sustainability of the sheep sector.

Successful applicants receive a mini flock consisting of one five-star ram and five breeding hoggets, worth a value of over €2,500. Participants will also receive tailored mentoring and support from Irish Country Meats, Bord Bia, Teagasc and Sheep Ireland.
