An integral part of our business, Irish Country Meats has worked closely with the farming community since 1988, forging strong business relationships with individual farmers and producer groups throughout Ireland to build a high quality livestock supply base.

We understand the challenges facing traditional farming enterprises as a result of changes in the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), and in particular, the decoupling of premia from production in 2002. Acknowledging these challenges, Irish Country Meats is committed to adding value to lamb products, creating strong brands and implementing the recommendations of the Department of Agriculture’s sheep industry development strategy group.
